I tried this recipe as an option for our school’s Flood of Jazz. I am part of the planning committee and this year they decided to do a farm themed event. With this I was trying to make desserts fit the theme, for our second planning meeting I gave the committee 2 choices of dessertsContinue reading “Brown Sugar Pavlova with Mango curd filling”

Our Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies
We do love the classic Tollhouse Chocolate Chip cookie recipe that is on the back of the bag, this was my go to recipe for YEARS! However, we stayed at a Double Tree a few times and I decided I loved the warm cookies they served. I enjoyed the oatmeal and the walnut texture inContinue reading “Our Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies”
Chai Tea Scones
Our kids’s school band has a massive fundraiser every year. As part of this they have a bake sale. I always try to come up with different ideas and unique things to bring so they don’t have 12 dozen chocolate chip cookies or 10 pans of brownies. Now, don’t get me wrong, those are tastyContinue reading “Chai Tea Scones”
Gluten Free Krumkake
My family is such a mixture of ethnic backgrounds we didn’t have any ethnic foods when I grew up. Cue my DH’s family who is about 3/4 Norwegian and 1/4 German who have a number of ‘ethnic’ foods at their holiday celebrations. Even though my small mid-western area is brimming with Norwegian heritage, it isContinue reading “Gluten Free Krumkake”
Gluten Free small batch Carrot Cupcake
I had made this cupcake from BiggerBolderBaking before for my mom and she really liked it!! I edited it a tad to make it more friendly to her dietary restrictions (no oil). I choose to top it with my favorite buttercream as mom and I aren’t a fan of Cream Cheese icing. I added inContinue reading “Gluten Free small batch Carrot Cupcake”
My Favorite Gluten Free Flour mix
This is my favorite Gluten Free Flour mix so far! It has some issues but overall I like it. I started with the Flippin Delicious flour mix using 1 cup of white rice and 1 cup of brown rice flour. What I often don’t like about gluten free flours is they are grainy and gritty.Continue reading “My Favorite Gluten Free Flour mix”
Gluten Free Santa Hat Brownie Bites
I started with a recipe from Beyond The Butter and tweaked it to make it Gluten Free. Again I used the flour mix from Flippin Delicious and processed it in my food processor to help combat the graininess of Bob’s Redmill’s flours. I am an OVER researcher and in this research I found many peopleContinue reading “Gluten Free Santa Hat Brownie Bites”
Vanilla Chai Spice Shortbread cookies
I made these for my husband’s business open house and they were a hit!! I pretty much followed the recipe given by SugarandSoul but I did add some vanilla to the mixture. I also didn’t roll them out, that’s too tedious for me! I rolled them into a log and put in the refrigerator forContinue reading “Vanilla Chai Spice Shortbread cookies”
Gluten Free Cream Puffs-2 ways
I really wanted to make these cream puffs gluten free! I found a great post by The Flavor Blender which had an amazing tutorial with trouble shooting tips. I made a few edits to the recipe to make it gluten free. I started with the Flippin Delicious flour mix using 1 cup of white riceContinue reading “Gluten Free Cream Puffs-2 ways”
