My First Blog Post

This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.

I am starting this blog mostly to keep track of my recipes and edits. I love to bake and often take 2-3 recipes I find and meld them together so I need to keep track of what I do and what I thought of the recipes! I tend to bake in spurts depending upon the special occasion.

I bake with a mix of typical recipes with all purpose flour, but often will edit recipes to be gluten free as well. I like to have the baked goods available to all which often means I bake gluten free to allow others to eat them too. I love when people tell me they had no idea that the treats were gluten free.

I live in a very small town in the midwest. I have always loved baking, but after working at bakeries for 8 years (4 years in high school and then 4 years after I graduated college) it spurred my love even farther! I bake mostly sweets, but have SLOWLY improved with my ability to control yeast products. I bake anything from typical sweets to gluten free items as we have some gluten intolerance in my family. My theory, if I am going through the work....I want everyone to be able to enjoy it!
